Victoria Day Canada and Scotland

Victoria Day (French: FĂȘte de la Reine, or "Celebration of the Queen") is a federal Canadian public holiday celebrated on the last Monday preceding May 25, in honour of Queen Victoria's birthday. For many, Victoria Day is a sign that summer is just around the corner (despite what the thermometer reads today at my house, -1 degrees Celsius) . The holiday, which is only celebrated in Canada and Scotland, is marked in most cities with parades, outdoor events and activities like camping and elaborate firework displays.
